Painting characteristic of early Alleyn, because he painted until 1960 artworks strongly influenced by Borduas and Riopelle. The same year that the execution of this work, in 1969, he won a bronze medal at the Biennale of Sao Paulo, Brazil. During this period, he resides in France, where his style will gradually move towards figuration.
