Winter Sunglow, North River

This work by Maurice Cullen is painted in the Laurentians in Quebec. From 1921, the artist paints the different landscapes of the Cache River and the North River. With his snowshoes on his feet, he used to spend several hours outdoors to make nature as authentic as possible by freeing himself from the academic representations of painting.
