Roy Mandell

Roy Mandell is a well-known American painter living in Nova Scotia. He was born in Winthrop, Massachusetts in 1942 and received his Bachelor of Art from Massachusetts College of Art in Boston in 1966. He then earned a Master of Arts from Penn State University in Philadelphia.

The painter has exhibited in group and individual exhibitions in Boston.

He emigrated to Canada in 1972. During the first years in the country, Roy Mandell taught art, while working as a visual artist. In 1981, the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia offered him a retrospective traveling solo exhibition, from which followed several others in Montreal and elsewhere. He currently lives and works in Wedgeport, Nova Scotia.
