The Suspension of Time and the Precision of Movement

This silkscreen print by Alexander Colville, titled Heron, brilliantly illustrates the magical realism and geometric rigor that characterize the work of this Canadian master. The composition captures a great blue heron in full flight, soaring above a body of water with hypnotically regular reflections.
