From the personal collection of Belle Burke, New York.
Writer, translator and editor Belle Burke met Jean-Paul Riopelle during an event in Paris which followed a romantic relationship for a few years. She then moved to New York and Jean-Paul Riopelle sent her many works and love letters. His private mail consisted of several catalogs of his exhibitions, accompanied by a word of love and folded watercolors.
