Kieff's works are remarkable for their elegance and brilliance. Many of the sculptures made of bronze are, as a result of casting and polishing, of a brilliant gold, of an appearance which defies fashion and time. Some works, such as Totem with Empty Space, for example, combine the golden patina with another brownish or greenish one obtained by a nitrate process. Although Kieff masters bronze, the artist has created a few sculptures in black granite that are just as impressive.
