Important figure of the new Spanish painting, Luis Feito participates in the creation of the artistic group El Paso resulting from the school of Barcelona. In the 1970s, the lyrical abstractions of the painter were simplified, both in terms of color and composition. The size of the canvases increases considerably, up to eleven feet wide, as evidenced by the composition Sans titre, 1973.

The emblematic creations of Feito consist of a juxtaposition of forms with saturated colors on a monochrome background. This aesthetic, which he developed after several artistic experiments, became his pictorial signature during the 1970s. The power of the compositions of this period lies in the audacious play of contrasts between the material and the color through which Feito redefines without stop the space. The monumental painting Sans titre is a remarkable example of this period of the painter's work. The same year, Feito exhibited at Gilles Corbeil Gallery in Montreal.
