Still Life of fruit
From 1948 until 1956, Beaulieu turned to figurative drawing and became interested in the definition of volumes in his compositions. As in this work entitled Still Life with Fruits, 1953, the painter reduces the elements to the essentials and his point of view tends to change gradually. In the same year, works by Paul Vanier Beaulieu were purchased by the National Museum of Fine Arts of Quebec and the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. The artist also participates in exhibitions at the Waldorf Gallery and the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts.
