In this modern and contemporary composition, Vladimir Horik offers a personal interpretation of the rural Quebec landscape during the cold season. The artwork captures the quiet atmosphere of a village blanketed in snow—a classic theme in Canadian iconography that the artist adapts through his distinct graphic style. Using acrylic on panel, Horik structures the space by playing with light contrasts, housing volumes, and winter chromatic nuances, delivering a view of the local winter that is both structured and lively.

About the Artist

Vladimir Horik is a Canadian landscape painter whose approach is deeply rooted in the exploration of wide-open spaces and regional Quebec scenes. His style stands out for its vivid and stylized interpretation of the environment, where color and light management play a major structural role. Avoiding strict realism, Horik prioritizes a pictorial approach focused on movement, geometric landscape forms, and the shifting atmosphere of the seasons, giving his paintings a highly recognizable visual signature within the contemporary art scene.
