Horace Champagne
Canadian artist, Pastel Society of France, the Pastel Society of Eastern Canada and the Pastel Society of America
Horace Champagne was born in Montreal. He is the grandson of Canadian artist Charles De Belle. Horace Champagne began her studies at the École des Beaux-Arts in Montreal and continued at the Ottawa School of Art. He started his career as an artist very late, at the age of 42.
He holds the title of Pastellist Master of the Pastel Society of Eastern Canada, an honorary distinction that ranks him among the best in the country. Indeed, the title remains reserved for artists who have demonstrated a very high mastery of the medium and a consistent quality during their career.
He lives today in Ile d'Orléans, Quebec.
