The grain elevator reminds us that the Port of Montreal experienced spectacular industrial development in the 1930s. Between the two wars, the port was open to the public. Some artists made sketches of it, notably Adrien Hébert, but Marc-Aurèle Fortin was the one who realized the most significant number. Port scene of Montreal in summer.
