Paul Emile Pissaro, son of the famous French painter Camille Pissaro and godson of Claude Monet, he became the talented apprentice of the fathers of French Impressionism. The works of the young Paulémile perpetuates the impressionist tradition but while modernizing it thanks to the influences of Paul Cézanne and Raoul Duffy, a close friend of the artist.
