Contre-poids

In 1980, Pierre Gauvreau was involved in various cultural and media projects and as a painter, he continued his exploration of abstract art. At the beginning of the decade, he worked on a series of abstract works, including vibrant mosaics, where he experimented with form, color and texture to create dynamic and captivating compositions.
Alongside his practice of visual art, Gauvreau was also active in the field of television. As a director and producer, he created innovative television programs, such as Le Temps d'une paix, that reflected the concerns and values of Quebec society at the time. His work in the media helped to highlight popular culture and promote dialogue on important social and political issues.
Gauvreau was therefore fully engaged in his artistic exploration while playing an influential role in the cultural and media landscape of Quebec. His work continued to generate interest and admiration in both the visual arts and television, affirming his place as one of the most important figures on the Quebec cultural scene.
