La Tuque , Que

Stanley Cosgrove learned fresco techniques from the Mexican master José Clemente Orozco, which had an impact on his creation. Indeed, the realization of works by thin layers of dry paint and the use of soft and subtle colors are the results of this unique teaching.

Upon his return to Canada, he became a teacher at the École des beaux-arts de Montréal. Still lifes, portraits and landscapes, skilfully produced with softness and delicacy, will be the favorite subjects of the artist.
